In addition to her accomplished film career, Hannah is also a fervent environmentalist. She maintains an environmentally motivated website, dhlovelife.com. Her home runs on solar power, her car on biodiesel. Also passionate about sustainable farming, Hannah stood alongside farmers in Los Angeles to protest the destruction of the nation’s largest urban farm.
Hannah seeks not only justice in the community, but also globally - she has been instrumental in emancipating child slaves from brothels in Bangkok, Thailand. Hannah has made it her personal mission to not only rescue these sex slaves from the pimps and madams who illegally own them, but to spread the word about the growing problem by making a documentary about the issue. In 2006 Hannah went undercover to expose the reality of the sex slave industry in Cambodia. Her goal in making the film is to shed light on the serious issue of sex slavery and save the innocent people being held hostage and raped for profit. A number of former slaves have been freed through Hannah's direct actions as well as the scores of others whose plight has been made public through her work.
