An 8 piece supergroup formed in 2007, The Scrolls brings together the talents of Glen Phillips, Sara Watkins, Sean Watkins, Luke Bulla, Greg Liesz, Pete Thomas, Davey Faragher and Benmont Tench.

Glen Phillips, former front man of Toad the Wet Sprocket, an American folk rock band, has had a critically acclaimed career as a solo artist, as well as in collaboration with the Watkins siblings, Sara and Sean, and other musicians.

Members of Southern California based progressive acoustic band Nickel Creek, Sara and Sean Watkins, have been playing bluegrass inspired music since their early teens. They also won a Grammy for their album “This Side”.

Fiddle player Luke Bulla has been playing since the age of 7 and in his long career has collaborated with numerous artists including Ricky Skaggs, Earl Scruggs and Bruce Hornsby and his band Wisechild toured with John Mayer and Counting Crows.

Greg Liesz brings his talent at steel guitar, mandolin, bass and other instruments to the group. He has recorded with scores of world-class musicians including Tracy Chapman, The Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, Wilco, Emmylou Harris, Bad Religion and others.

Drummer Pete Thomas spent much of his career playing with Elvis Costello. He has also contributed to albums with Suzanne Vega, Elliott Smith and Sheryl Crow.

Davey Faragher was a founding member of the band Cracker and is also a member of Elvis Costello's Imposters. He is a sought after bassist, performing with David Crosby, Bonnie Raitt and others.

A founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Benmont Tench is an award winning keyboardist who has lent his talents to albums with Green Day, Johnny Cash, U2, The Rolling Stones and dozens of others.
